About

History

We are still digging for a date associated with the earliest incarnation of Bromwell's PTA, but it looks we might have been going strong since 1978! While the function of the Bromwell PTA must have changed and grown over the years, what we can find is a history of community building and fundraising to help support every family at Bromwell.

Who we are

We are the parents, guardians, familes of  our Bromwell Bears! No experience needed! Join us at a meeting, drop us an email, hollar at your Room Parent, or even ask your teacher how to get in touch.  It takes every one of us to make Bromwell the best it can be for our children.

President

Hi, I’m Lexie Krohn Parker and I have two boys, Bryce in 4th grade and Cole in 2nd.  My husband, Trent, and I were born and raised in Portland, OR and have been in Denver for 12 years. I believe adults need to advocate for what’s best for the children, as well as fill the missing gaps that public schools can’t afford to fill. I love the Bromwell community, not just the friendships my boys have made, but that I’ve also made! When I’m not busy with school activities, you’ll find me cheering my alma mater, University of Oregon (go Ducks!), attending soccer practices and games, mornings at Cheesman Park or the Botanic Gardens, or snuggling with our 11yr old Irish Terrier, Miss Oscar Louise and 2 new additions this year - our little kittens Scrappy and Runner.

Secretary

I'm Becky Ralston, and I have two kids at Bromwell (a 5th grader and a 3rd grader) -- and this will be our 6th year being a part of the Bromwell community! I've been a Room Parent, volunteered in the library, lunch room, and playground, been a PTA member for five years, and also supported the Annual Fund efforts for two years. This is my second yar as Secretary, I'm excited to continue to be a part of Bromwell's excellent PTA team -- and continuing to support the school and all our students through strong community, traditions, and transparency.

Treasurer

Hello! I am excited to use my background in finance in my new position as PTA Treasurer. I have three children - Charlotte (a 2nd grade Bromwell Bear), Sam (a kindergarten bear), and Will (a toddler & future bear). My wife Rachel is a teacher in DPS, so I am well-versed in the budget needs of classrooms and schools. Originally from the California Bay Area, I went to D.U. for undergrad and fell in love with Denver’s proximity to skiing (fun fact - one of my early jobs was a ski team coach in Lake Tahoe). In my “spare time” (that I do not have because of said children), I watch Charlotte do gymnastics and have Taylor Swift/Olivia Rodrigo dance parties, and I always love to explore the beauty of Colorado. Here is a picture of my family on our recent trip to Rocky Mountain National Park!

Community

Hi, I am Shawn Williams and I have a son, Van Johnson, in 3rd grade.  I also have a 6-year-old daughter, Willa, who is in 1st Grade at St. John's in Wash Park.  I love being part of the Bromwell Community and being able to volunteer in the school, especially the Library.   Some of my hobbies include running, classes at OrangeTheory & Barrys and hiking 14rs as well as skiing in the wintertime.  Reach out if you have connections with restaurants or retail stores and if you want to come to workout with me!

Fundraising

Hey everyone, I am Rob Inglis. My wife Erin and I have two kids at Bromwell. Charlie in 2nd and Lucy in 5th grade. Erin works at Clinica Campesina delivering babies and supporting the community. I figured it was my turn to try and help out. As a family we have pretty standard ‘Colorado’ interests skiing, biking and spending time in the mountains. We have been known to catch a show or two at the Lions Lair. Looking forward to teaming up with Nick and the rest of the Bromwell family to see if we can bring these ideas to fruition.

Fundraising

Hello! I’m Nick Evans and have two Bromwell Bears, Theo in 4th grade and Darby in 2nd. My wife, Betsy, and I have been in the Denver area for almost a decade now and love living near Cheesman park. We are an active family and you will see us running through parks, playing in soccer leagues, and going up to the mountains for hiking and skiing. I’m an avid runner and home cook and run a food blog full time, developing recipes for companies. I’m excited to work with Rob this year, solidifying the strong Bromwell fundraising from past years and expanding to add opportunities for fundraising throughout the Cherry Creek community.

Community

Hi, my name is Jessa. Our daughters Thea (Kinder) and Edie (2nd) and our son Ari (3rd) are all at Bromwell and in school together for the first time ever this school year! I am looking forward to a wonderful school year. What I appreciate most about our school is the sense of community and the dedication and hard work of the incredible staff. They show up every day and put students first. If you’ve got questions or want to know how to be more involved don’t hesitate to ask!

Hi All! I'm Karen, mom to Maximo (3rd) and Santiago (2nd grade). This is our third year at Bromwell and my second serving on the board.
